Hi, I’m Michaela — owner of Olive+Oak Event Co. I’d like to think that I was thrown into the event world at around the age I could walk. My parents owned a deli and catering company that was a full family affair. When there wasn’t an event, our front door was wide open, welcoming friends and family for all types of celebrations. I learned early on that I had an eye for detail and loved the feeling of bringing people together.

Once I found that I could major in events at college, and make a career out of planning big milestones for people who would leave with memories that would last a lifetime — I was sold. With experience from working at wedding venues, as a corporate event planner and executing weddings on my own, I have helped family, friends, coworkers and friends-of-friends bring to life their perfect day. I coordinated my first wedding in 2015 (shoutout to Sam and Jason) and I’ve never looked back. And after encouragement from my husband and family, it was time to make it official with Olive+Oak.

FULL PLANNING

You’ve said yes and now you're ready for a complete, stress-free planning experience. As your professional planner, I'll be your go-to person for any and everything wedding-related. From choosing the venue, creating a personalized style and managing the budget to hiring the best event professionals, creating detailed schedules and managing all the logistics on wedding day. You're welcome to participate as much as you want and will make all the final decisions, but won’t have the worry of managing all the details.

PARTIAL PLANNING

You’ve got the look and feel of your big day, the venue, as well as an idea of your wedding vendor dream team — but you need some assistance staying on track and organized. The partial planning package is great for the couple who needs some advice, management and occasional cross-checking from a seasoned wedding professional.

COORDINATION

Day-of coordination is vital to the couple that has planned their wedding and is ready to sit back, be present and enjoy their big day. I am happy to step in as the point of contact to handle all logistics and details, and on-the-day tasks for you and your vendors.

OTHER SERVICES

I'm happy to help with events beyond tying the knot, including corporate event planning, fundraising events and galas, birthday parties, anniversary milestones, retirement celebrations, community events and more.
